Some people oppose the inequality of women with men they demand that women have equal rights and opportunities with men For that case the United Nations representative council established the SDGs in the framework of world peace efforts and for a better world one of SDGs program is to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls in all around the world So women could have a better life with the same rights and equality as men Providing women and girls with equal access to education health care decent work and representation in political and economic decision making processes will fuel sustainable economies and benefit societies and humanity at large According to United Nation Population Fund Gender equality is a human right Women are entitled to live with dignity and with freedom from want and from fear Gender equality is also a precondition for advancing development and reducing poverty Empowered women contribute to the health and productivity of whole families and communities and they improve prospects for the next generation In Indonesia there is Women Emancipation pioneered by Raden Ajeng Kartini in 19 century
Thats where gender equality in Indonesia began Women started to have equal right for going to school just as men do But apparently there is some of society in Indonesia that women nature is still considered to just stay at home and not doing men's job in general Some office requited only men employee that makes women have difficulty to find a job as they pleased For that kind of reason gender equality in Indonesia still have a problem to reach gender equality Pancasila contains the value that exists in Indonesia nation Therefore as a part of Indonesia citizen we need to instill the existing social values in Pancasila For women It is Including but no limited torights of having the same equality and justice as men s Gender equality is regulated by Pancasila especially on point 2 Pancasila which is fair and civilized humanity and point 5 that is social justice for all Indonesian people Based on these points of Pancasila we could conclude that gender equality is the right for all the people in Indonesia state
The equality and justice are needed to gain a decent life which everyone of this state s dreamed of There are many ways to solve gender inequality problem in Indonesia Some of them are first is to make education about gender within the rights of it According to Aya Kibesaki senior education specialist Global Partnership for Education Washington DC USA There has been much progress in increasing access to education but progress has been slow in improving the gender sensitivity of the education system including ensuring textbooks promote positive stereotypes This is critically important for girls to come out of schools as citizens who can shape an equal society In some countries there is a tendency to assume that things are fine as long as there is an an equal number of girls in schools The second is to give proper value to women's work More research and data for messaging on this point could be useful in promoting the key role and contributions women and girls make to the economy and the need for proper recognition and compensation We also need a concerted campaign for equal pay for equal work worldwide The third is to encourage women into a nontraditional job is crucial is not only make a huge change but also break the social taboos It could help them to get skill on something for example is mechanic
We need to get women into power because women s success has been increased by participation by women in local regional and national legislation as empowered change agents Therefore gender equality can be actualized easily The issue of gender inequality is quite complex There are many different views on this issue Not infrequently this gender gap reaps the pros and cons However when we see that from the positive side along with the times the role of women is needed to overcome various problems that are happening nowadays The birth of smart women also encourages gender equality It cannot be ignored It can be an opportunity for better quality of life and human rise It is also supported by Pancasila where the noble mind of a nation is planted The nation of Indonesia is really upholding equality and justice Those two important things are rights for people in Indonesia either men or women Therefore women and men position should be equal By equal women should get a chance to get education and jobs the same as men as long as they are comfortable with it Then the gender equality can be actualized not later than 30 years
