Many parts of the world started to believe childhood should be a time for learning and schools for children were developed Peter Gray 2008 However vast amounts of people had selfish agendas for what they believed students should be taught For example employers wanted the education system to teach students about punctuality following directions tolerances for long hours of tedious work and basic reading and writing skills to create better workers Peter Gray 2008 Essentially the education system was built to manipulate a student through the early stages of their life to create a specific model citizen that was needed by the country Currently we have the result of the ongoing evolution of the education system The subjects taught are now vaster and the methods of discipline and reward fairer However the model has not changed and has become outdated due to the vast technological changes Society currently promotes individuality and independence however the education system does not help students to harness these assets E learning can support education and help students achieve more than they have been able to previously 2 2 E learning is needed E learning is a computer based education resource that allows the user to learn at the time and place best suited to them E learning is most commonly accessed using the internet however many other forms of e learning have existed in the past Unlike the previous method of education provided through the history of learning 

The current problem is the lack of awareness brought to E learning From my independent questionnaire I found that most students preferred to learn from an in class environment However once taking out the students who had not used E learning frequently enough to have an opinion on the method E learning and in class environments were both equivalents in preference This shows that there is potential for E learning however there must be more awareness raised towards this method of learning to enable more students to use it The future of E learning is unforeseen as it is forever growing with continuous technological advancements However I believe that E learning must have a bigger influence on the education system as the advancement of technology has allowed newer resources to create a more classroom orientated atmosphere through the use of features such as videos slideshows word documents podcasts and PDF's
