Your Work is going to fill a large part of your life and the only way to be truly be satisfied is to do what you believe is great work And the only way to do great work is love what you do What is Work Work is defined as the activity involving mental or physical effort done to achieve a purpose or result Why we work For centuries man has considered productive labor as doing the right thing and it has acted as a measure The purpose of working should be to earn money for Various reasons First to be able to survive Second working provides a sense of independence Last it gives an individual sense of responsibility First we should consider continuing working to earn money because it allows us to be able to afford basic life needs Money is needed to be able to buy food drink shelter and pay bills We must have food water air and shelter to survive Without food water the body start to break down tissue or fat and eventually starvation including death Also shelter is needed to protect us from weather or any harmful elements such as dying from heat exhaustion or freezing to death Johnny Ross Tatam disagrees with me he believes that we shouldn't have to work just to survive

A survey conducted by the conference board discussed in a Wall street Journal found that more than half of all American workers were unhappy with their jobs Also Curry points out that a great number of American workers have a sense that work doesn t satisfy their deeper needs Why Because they are holding a job just to make end meet Finally although the purpose of work was to be able to get a paycheck just to be able to survive Second to provide a sense of autonomy and independence Third it gives an individual a sense of responsibility I believe all these are important reason to consider working for I believe that working to earn an income is a requirement however working to gain personal satisfaction is a must I believe that working to earn money and gain personal satisfaction are mutually exclusive because you can t reach one without the other one According to Maslow hierarchy by covering an individual need you will gain satisfaction Below you will find Maslow hierarchy level of needs I believe the way the American people work may help people accomplishment their goals only if they love what they do and know that to reach their full potential we must continue to thrive and trying to reach move forward on level According to Steve Jobs Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn't matter to me Going to bed at night saying we've done something wonderful that what matter to me
