Nurses and midwives have a duty of care and therefore the individuals that they work with must be able to trust them with their personal information lives and health This code also has in place many schemes which make sure that the Equality and Diversity legislation is met The value bases of care provides guidance for care practitioners on how to achieve best practice and guidance on how to provide high quality care to all service users on a consistent basis providing protection for both the service users and care workers This is also part of the code of practice for The Nursing and Midwifery Council The essential care values can be put into practice through care principles of promoting equality in care practice respecting difference promoting the individual's rights promoting choice and empowerment maintaining confidentiality and privacy promoting anti discriminatory practice These are part of the code of practice for nurses and midwives which all should take into practise and apply them to their daily care These aspects will have a positive influence on the health provision as it will promote better care provision from nurses to service users which will make their experience better and will receive the positive care that they are entitled to
