Transportation traffic and solutions In this section I’ll focus on changes that can be made in terms of transportation In our days most of the researchers begun paying attention to the environmental impacts at a festival Robbins et al 2007 found that travel to and from events is very problematic due to carbon emissions and concluded that car traffic which makes up a vast majority of transportation to festivals is the main issue for consideration We all agree that because it is more convenient most events attendees travel by car to these events Also the location of the events has a big influence on the people who use cars because most festivals are placed in rural areas or far away from the town center Therefore before start organising a festival a manager should consider more the location because the major problem is that most managers don't think about the traffic and about increased chances of accidents if they let thousands of cars into a single area Besides that we add the fact the locals are affected by the increased traffic Laing 2011 argued that congestion noise or deterioration of local air quality are all important aspects when considering the impacts of car traffic on locals where events are held According to Robbins 2007 changing the location can subsequently change the method of transportation fact which can reduce the number of emissions
