How many times have you met a person thinking they were innocent but turned out to be brave as you learned more about them Reading the novel The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd i have got another impression of Lily At first i thought she was good but further into the book i found out some crazy stuff how she kills her own mother owns up to her abusive father T Ray and how she broke Rosaleen out I never would have thought those actions would come from Lily Within chapter 1 you find out that Lily kills her mom with a gun not only does she do that but she owns up to it The day was December 3 1954 when the tragic incident happened When i saw the gun in her hand i ran toward her clumsy and falling wanting to save her to save us all Time folded in on itself than What is left lies clear yet disjointed pieces in my head The gun shining like a toy in her hand how he snatched it away and waved it around The gun on the floor Bending to pick it up The noise that exploded around us
