Walt Disney was a big inspiration to millions of people Walt Disney will and should be remembered for generations to come due to his hard teen life his money issues and his ability to be creative and overcome all the obstacles that came in his way of becoming a creator and producer Walter Elias Disney was born in Chicago Illinois on December 5 1901 Walt Disney had a family of seven growing up his father Elias Disney his mother Flora Call Disney and his three brothers Roy Disney Herbert Disney Raymond Disney and his sister Ruth Flora Disney Walt Disney s father was very religious and strict it was often that he physically abused his children When walt disney was born his father was working as a building contractor Soon after his father took over a farm in Marceline Missouri Walt Disney was happy on the farm and he soon had developed his love for animals there as well Walt's family tried to keep the farm but it ended up failing so his family had no other choice but to sell the farm and move to Kansas City Missouri where walt would help his father deliver newspapers Walt disney worked by selling some candy and newspaper on the train that traveled to Kansas City and Chicago Walt always loved to draw and at this same time he would go to art lessons When Walt was 16 years old he dropped out of high school and tried to enlist into the army but was rejected due to his young age Walt still ended up going to world war one from 1914 1918 as an ambulance driver for the the Red Cross After coming back to Kansas City in 1919 from the war
