Investigation of in vitro cytotoxicity and antibacterial properties of Corchorus hirsutus phytoremediation nanosilver Dongamanti Ashok Sandupatla Raju Rama Koyati Green and Medicinal Chemistry Laboratory Department of Chemistry Osmania University Hyderabad 500007 Telangana India Forensic Science Unit Department of Chemistry Osmania University Hyderabad 500007 Telangana India Department of Biochemistry Osmania University Hyderabad 500007 Telangana India email address ashokdou gmail com Tel 91 9391024769 Abstract The elected work reports for the first time successfully synthesized silver nanoparticles from the aqueous leaf extract of the Corchorus hirsutus plant As the phytochemicals presented in the leaf extract were creditworthy for the reduction of silver ions as the stable nanosilver particles as well as they act as the capping agents which were environed on the surface of the particles which increases the stability of the particles The phytosynthesized nanosilver were then characterized by using several instrumental techniques The establishment of nanosilver was overseen by UV Vis spectroscopy The precise peak detected at 403 nm of surface plasmon resonance has affirmed the colloidal nanosilver The peaks of fourier transform infrared spectroscopy had found out the phytochemicals responsible for the reduction of nanosilver The crystalline structure and diameter of the phytosynthesized silver nanoparticles were found out by using x ray diffraction studies The average diameter of particles found to be 29 nm using Debye Scherrer formula
