After taking the personality test and compared the two sets of questions I found the questions in the 16 Personalities more intriguing than those in Big Five Personality Test were The tactics it used to approach every structure of my life both physically and mentally made me learn about my personality in deeper details This test made me realize that I have a judging trait and I don t like to keep my options open and most of the time when I make a decision then it becomes final I also realized that I have strong work ethics and I put my responsibilities and duties above everything I am strict when it comes to the matters of law and order I am also relaxed and flexible when dealing with challenges that were not expected I would not hesitate to look for a solution because I know life provides one with challenges and opportunities I also found out that my happiness takes priority as opposed to what others expect and I would only take up those tasks that interest me


The response to the questions in the first test made me know the level of confidence I have in my decisions and abilities This test acted as an internal sensor that made me realize that the environment makes me react differently depending on the input I receive from my surroundings For example the feedback I get from people I am relating make me react differently depending on the circumstances I realized that my mind responds differently from the way it interacts with the external world The test further made me realize that I am relatively resistant to stress even tempered and self assured I rarely push myself beyond the limit to achieve a certain goal and I often do not worry much about the uncertainties of the future I do not spend much time thinking about those actions I did in the past or the choices I made I usually let the past just remain that the past I think this is the reason that I usually find myself being confident in my abilities to handle challenges and situations that I had not expected In the second personality scale made me realize that I am very observant of the actual things happening around me I found that I enjoy experiencing feeling touching and seeing I do not like making possibilities and theorizing but I would want to do practical work and focus on issues at hand I also found out that instead of wondering when and why things might happen or brainstorm about the future possibilities I feel better dealing with concrete objects and facts I am those people with the personality of handling one thing at a time instead of doing multiple tasks at the same time as I find this as draining and energy wasting Finally when it comes to communication I am a good communicator and would have no problems with in depth interpretations or decoding allusions I usually focus on practical matters that are clear and factual Advantages and Disadvantages of the Personality Tests

The Big Five Personality Test is validated as a reliable and consistent measure of a personality trait The Generalizability theory could be used to analyze the reliability of this personality test Researchers have developed this theory to understand human behavior better Kong Fleming 2016 The use of observer ratings and self report measures have provided evidence that openness to experience agreeableness conscientiousness neuroticism and extraversion is a five factor model of personality This model can be used to predict behavior patterns accurately for a long period The biggest disadvantage it has is that it is difficult to predict a single trait using this method Since human behavior is determined by a combination of many factors then it would be wrong to assume that personality is the biggest factor to consider when determining a human behavior van Tienen Rothkrantz 2015 The model also is too broad and universal and not age gender and culturally specific Women react differently from such personality traits as extraversion and openness differently from their male counterparts Furthermore these five factors cannot be said to be independent variables Lastly the self bias where one would fill only the positive attributes to look good in front of his her mates is not predictable Kong Fleming 2016 People tend to answer questions with an intention of self enhancement 16Personalities first advantage is that it is very scientific since a researcher can use a reasonable scoring board which is quantitative and measurable Secondly it is the most renowned method the researchers use to asses adult populations and the returns of their personality attributes are always accurate van Tienen Rothkrantz 2015 This scale also has numerous disadvantages Since the enhancement of technology the manual validation of the report is difficult 



Only trained personnel can interpret its complex data The question mark may lead the respondent to give the middle response as an infrequency response The structure is too long for new uses and the complexity of its analytical approach does not help the respondents either The responses sometimes do not refer to any specific content and therefore confuse the respondents and finally any respondent who is visually impaired would be disadvantaged Undoubtedly the 16 Personalities and the Big Five have been very instrumental in determining the human behavior and adult personality This has assisted much in clinical counseling where the counselors assess the motivational exciting observed and interpersonal dynamics that assist them to plan their treatments These methods could also assist the prospective employers to learn about the traits of the prospective employees and also organizations to learn about the members of staff in the events of coaching team building collaboration outplacement training growth and promotion
