They had only survived by being saved Boo Radley Bob had threatened to kill him in the book but Atticus had not believed how serious he was about doing it Even in the book it had said that Atticus was leaving the post office when Mr Ewell approached him cursed him spat on him and threatened to kill him stood there and let Mr Ewell call him names wild horses could not bring her to repeat Lee 221 This had shown that Bob had threaten Atticus and Atticus had not done anything after he threatened to kill him because he didn't take him seriously That had lead to Scout and Jem to almost dying at the end of the book If he had done something he could had stopped Bob from trying to kill them before he even had started to try to That is the one of his few mistakes he had make in To Kill a Mockingbird Atticus is a good father to Jem and Scout and is a smart lawyer but he didn't trust a threat which had almost killed Jem and Scout He has so many strengths and almost loses his children to Bob he made him look bad If Atticus had done anything when Bob threaten him it could of stop it before it happens This is related to life today because you can do everything right but mess up one time that could ruin your life This show that Atticus is not perfect but has some faults that he does in this novel To Kill a Mockingbird
