Worldview Essay Music plays an important role in my life It is powerful It can affect our body and mind easily The song Viva La Vida sung by the British rock band Coldplay is one of my favorites songs that I would hear often during my free time The reason I like this song is because of its powerful tune and lyric When I first heard the song my English is poor and I thought this song is talking about something joyful but as I look at the translate of the lyrics I realized that this song is talking about a sad story of a King and the purpose of this song is greater than that I personally think the lyrics to this song seem to refer to French revolutions and shows the confused from King Louis 16 The song clearly states how King Louis 16 fall from high places to below after the revolutions and how he reflection on his past In the first four lines of the lyric it said I used to rule the world Seas would rise when I gave the word Now in the morning I sleep alone Sweep the streets I used to own King Louis 16 used to be very powerful 

He had everything in his hand and it seems like even the seas would rise under his command But when he lost his power he lost his freedom and had been separated from his family He is alone The lyric I used to roll the dice Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes shows that Louis 16 was playing with his power He took risk to start the war to took over other kingdoms And he still remembers the date when he had become a king as his people were singing Long live the king But everything happened so fast One minute I held the key Next the walls were closed on me And I discovered that my castles stand Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand One minute ago he has the power to control his kingdom and in the next moment he lost everything He realized that his castles were stand on the salt and sand in other words his power is weak For some reason I can't explain Once you go there was never Never an honest word And that was when I ruled the world When people have a great power they will try everything just to keep this power and that is why there was never an honest word when he ruled the world He lied to his people to keep this power And the power he used to own forced him to become a different person and that's the reason for why People couldn't believe what I'd become His people started to hate him and revolutionaries wait for his head on a silver plate 

Even though he used to own the power he felt like he is a puppet on a lonely string and he started to lament Oh who would ever want to be king Finally in the end of the lyrics it said For some reason I can't explain I know St Peter won't call my name When he realized he is going to die he remembers every bad thing that he has done He felt like he was not allow to go to heaven because of all the sinful things he made All in all I think this song has talk about lots of things such as revolution power life and faith King Louis 16 used to be powerful He had everything and he used his power to keep his status His power change him to a different person and his people started to hate him Men s power is limited and weak It is important to not to lean upon our own understanding When Louis 16 lost everything the only thing he had is his faith but due to the things he did he is afraid if Lord would let him enter the heaven Unlike the sad historical story that gives by the song Viva La Vida How Great Thou Art is a song that gives us hope and brings us good news The song helps people to understand God's great love and brought us hope as people sing when I think that God His Son not sparing Sent Him to die I scarce can take it in That on the cross my burden gladly bearing He bled and died to take away my sin We all know we are sinner but we will have no worry when we face the death because Jesus died to pay for our sins The songs also told us where I am and who I am and helps us know the great power that God have God exists and we are the prove because he is one who created the world and people All in all How Great Thou Art is a song with joy It is such a blessing and joy as we are praising God and recognizing His care In conclusion although there are lots of differences between this two songs there are still some similarity At least both songs told us a truth life have a purpose based on God and it is important to live our life with a God s purpose Men s power can never compare with the power of God It is important for us to trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on our own insight because God will always have a good plan for us
