Theft and dishonesty Sexual offences Controlled or illegal drugs Criminal damage Firearms Immigration Bomb and threat hoaxes Offensive weapons Public order Administration of justice The entire crew of the air cabin is jointly responsible for the safety and comfort of its passengers The main duties of a flight attendant include the following Prior to the flight the crew of the cabin will have to check that all the safety equipment is present make sure that the airplane is presentable clean and tidy also will have to verify that all drinks special requests meals and more are up to date The Cabin Crew will receive the passengers on board and will direct them to their seats helping them to secure all the carry on luggage in the appropriate place In addition they provide special attention to certain passengers such as the elderly or disabled The Cabin Crew must ensure that all aisles and exits are not obstructed during the duration of the flight The cabin crew will solve in a quick diplomatic way any seat problem among the passengers before the preparation of the takeoff The Cabin Crew will inform the passengers of the security procedures of the aircraft and demonstrate how to use the emergency equipment The Cabin Crew will check each passenger s safety belt if it is in place and securely fastened The Cabin Crew will make sure that the kitchen equipment is safe and protected before takeoff The Cabin Crew provide passengers with newspapers magazines and entertainment on board The Cabin Crew will make clear announcements to keep passengers informed of any delay Cabin Crew will provide a professional service to passengers at all times of the flight The hostesses will make any announcements on behalf of the captain Cabin Crew on board will sell duty free products and pursue sales goals The hostesses will ensure that all passengers on board disembark safely at the end of a flight Also they will have to check in all the overhead lockers public areas bathrooms and galleys that no one has left their belongings on board the plane
