The performance based way to education allows students to use their knowledge and to demonstrate their understandings and proficiency Performance assessments are essential for teachers also in order to evaluate both the effectiveness of the procedure and the product that will result from performance of a task They might be multiple judged to be excellent However such tasks should be used in every subject area and with all class levels Features ـــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــ Performance tasks doesn t require one right answer Therefore they call for students to apply their learning in context Also they motivate problem solving and critical thinking skills inspires divergent thinking and promotes independent learning In addition performance tasks are referred to as assessments which highlights the practical application of the tasks in real world settings Authenticity is an important goal of performance assessments It is interesting challenging and meaningful but it requires time to be finished or completed
