The Vietnam War and the French were staples as to why Vietnam is a communist country today The Vietnam War was one of the longest most impacting wars for the U S Before the war when the French were defeated Vietnam split into the North and South One side the North was communist and the South were anti communist The french tried to gain control over Vietnam After the war Viet Minh who led the communist and anti French movement gained control When an uprising between France and Viet Minh broke out the Indochina war began Although France was defeated there were later problems on communism Because the president Ngo Dinh Diem did not want to agree with the Geneva Accord South Vietnam had a problem with this Northern Communists then joined the South and fought Viet Cong The United States agreed with Vietnam s containment policy meaning they were in favor of spreading communism They sent Vietnam tools and troops to help them out Later on the North and South reunited as the Social Republic of Vietnam Even though this may have been solved at the time no more conflict between China and Vietnam later years affected the

Communist country Just in 2016 Tran Dai Quang was elected president and he is a communist This means that him and the new prime minister are making Vietnam a one sided communist country for even longer This is how colonial war can make a series of impacts to one country A way to stop the conflict is for the Vietnam people to take control and say something although it may be dangerous for them it could have an impact on their leaders Along with Vietnam South Korea has a superior religion over others The Korean countries consists of Confucianism Children have to show their parents respect and do certain duties Just like Vietnam Christians make up a big part of the country There is 32 of Christians in South Korea 24 are Buddhists and 40 do not claim a certain religion In the 1800s Christians in South Korea were persecuted similar to Vietnam However today it is different and Christians are being recognized and supported In North Korea their constitution says there is freedom of religion however all religion is persecuted South Korea also has an effect from colonialism and war During the war North Korea invaded South Korea which caused a three year war Once again the United States sent in troops to help South Korea China worried that the war would enter their country so they sent troops to help North Korea out The war eventually ended in agreement even though no peace treaty was signed After the war ended there was still tension between both countries A policy was made to ease the tension between North and South Korea

This worked for a while until North Korea fired on a small island in the Yellow Sea North Korea threatened to destroy South Korea the United States and Japan This tension from the colonial war is still present today In 2015 two South Korean soldiers were injured and they blamed this on North Korea causing more tension and conflict The issue can be solved by having both leaders come together and discuss a way to either work together or maintain peace so there will not be anymore big issues Religion in places such as Afghanistan is different from others Afghanistan s main religion is Islam About 85 90 of the country practices the Islam religion There was even a war to defend Islams This war was the Soviet war and it increased political power The Pashtunwali influences how people in Afghanistan live today It is a social code in the country that people follow Afghanistan also fought Kabul for control of the country This means that they will have control over the Taliban The Taliban is a political movement in Afghanistan The Taliban took control and punished mujahidin commanders for what cruel acts they were doing to civilians Pakistan supported the Taliban and what they were doing People who were fighting for the control of Kabul were defeated by Ahmad Shah Massoud He wanted to build national dialogue with the Taliban but they declined his offer Not that long after the Taliban captured Kabul and was controlling a lot of the country In the Afghanistan religion girls became banned from certain things and television films and music was banned Fewer people were supporting them after they made laws based on Sharia law Sharia law is a very bad set of rules for this country along with some others Some of the rules include a man having more than one wife beastiality cannibalism rape and paedophilia

There is also something called religious Sharia law If some of the laws were based off of these imagine how bad they were or still are Today there is equality for men and women in Afghanistan While all of that was back in the 1990s the Taliban is still around today In 2015 the Taliban elected a brand new leader Also in 2017 more Civilian casualties have happened The Taliban is one of the main causes for this along with anti government forces A way to fix the reign of the Taliban is for other countries such as the United States to find a way to threaten them or do something to scare them to end it Maybe they can send troops over to fight if they really want another war to break out The United States could also arrest them
