Walt Disney was a big inspiration to millions of people Walt Disney will and should be remembered for generations to come due to his hard teen life his money issues and his ability to be creative and overcome all the obstacles that came in his way of becoming a creator and producer Walter Elias Disney was born in Chicago Illinois on December 5 1901 Walt Disney had a family of seven growing up his father Elias Disney his mother Flora Call Disney and his three brothers Roy Disney Herbert Disney Raymond Disney and his sister Ruth Flora Disney Walt Disney s father was very religious and strict it was often that he physically abused his children When walt disney was born his father was working as a building contractor Soon after his father took over a farm in Marceline Missouri Walt Disney was happy on the farm and he soon had developed his love for animals there as well Walt's family tried to keep the farm but it ended up failing so his family had no other choice but to sell the farm and move to Kansas City Missouri where walt would help his father deliver newspapers Walt disney worked by selling some candy and newspaper on the train that traveled to Kansas City and Chicago Walt always loved to draw and at this same time he would go to art lessons When Walt was 16 years old he dropped out of high school and tried to enlist into the army but was rejected due to his young age Walt still ended up going to world war one from 1914 1918 as an ambulance driver for the the Red Cross After coming back to Kansas City in 1919 from the war 



Walt disney started work as a commercial illustrator and then he later began doing animated cartoons Disney was sent to Hollywood California in 1923 to partner with his brother Roy Disney Walt and Ub Iwerks started producing Oswald the Rabbit cartoons for Universal Studios the first appearance of this was on September 5 1927 When the contract ended walt and his brother decided to create their own character Walt's first success was Steamboat Willie which was the first all sound cartoon in 1928 Walt got married to Lillian Marie Bounds in 1925 and she was one of the first employees to work with Walt During this time Walt created many characters such as Mickey Mouse Donald Duck Minnie and Goofy One of his greatest success in the 1930s was the three little pigs due to its great and clever use of music sound and material Another one of Walt’s successes was the Alice Comedies After this Walt Disney became a recognized hollywood figure Walt disney started to branch out and extend his studio and he included a training school for the new generation of artist By doing this it was possible for the production of the movie snow white the first feature length cartoon Walt disney has had many failures in his career some of which have become really famous today The 1942 movie Bambi lost money when it first came out but then later on it became one of the classic disney movies with a rating of 90 rotten tomatoes One of the reasons that some of Disney movies did not make profit was because of the effects of ww2 which started on September 1 1939 September 2 1945 The same time that Pinocchio was relist and other disney movies such as Fantasia Dumbo and other disney movies

The disney movie Sleeping Beauty was not that profitable at the time which had lead to layoffs and a company wide annual loss Walt s biggest hit was Mary Poppins it was one of his films that included some animation exciting stories and fantastic music Later on in Walts career he had decided to open an amusement park the idea came to him when he and his wife and two daughters were at an amusement park having fun He wanted a to build a place where the entire family could have fun together In 1957 Disney opened Disneyland in Anaheim California it was the most successful park in history with 6 7 million people coming in 9 years In 1971 Disney World in Orlando Florida opened as well as in other places In the 1920s to the 1930 and even longer Walt Disney has made children and even some adults happy due to his great animation skills and his hard work On December 15 1966 only 10 days after his birthday at the age of 65 Walt disney passed away due to lung cancer which he was diagnosed that same year Walt Disney s body was cremated his ashes interred at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles After his death his franches have continues to grow and will continue for year to come In the era of the twenties Walt Disney was an incredibly big inspiration worldwide He will continue to be because of his hard work and his ability to look forward and not linger on his past and keep a positive mindset Due to this he will be remembered for years to come And generations of people will see his hard work
