Their outlook is described as fundamentalist meaning it is a strict literal interpretation of scripture in a religion Generally speaking to get into a closed community you either need to be accepted or born into it and depending on which community it is it could be harder to be a part of them People have said that closed communities are much safer than open ones which make sense If the people who run the closed community have to decide who gets in and who doesn t it would probably be safer as they know who s in it and how dangerous they can be In open communities the people who run it may not know everyone in the community so there could be someone extremely dangerous right underneath their noses But it doesn t mean that closed communities are better than open communities Closed communities have a harder time accepting others and certain closed communities can be so closed off that they are behind in advancements and have a harder time reintegrating into society Although a lot of communities live in peace with one another there are ones which are treated lesser than other communities For example the black community versus the white community So many murders have been committed like the one of Emmet Till a black boy who died at the age of 14 in 1955 for supposedly whistling and flirting with a white married woman named Carolyn Bryant which later was said to be verbal or physical advances towards Carolyn
This was called lynching which has killed around three thousand black people and one thousand white people for helping the black people It has definitely gotten better the past hundred years or so but we still have some work to do You could often here on the news about the police especially in places like the USA where they kill innocent black people And now of course the white community is not perfect far from it and so are the other communities which are based on race so why should we treat them less than us Yes they had their fair share of crimes but that doesn t mean that every single person of colour is trying to hurt us It similar to how people view Muslims as terrorists and that they re all violent which is far from the truth Most Muslims are just normal people just living their life disturbing no one but no one ever talks about them News outlets often talk about how this Muslim blew up a building or how this black person killed two people but never talk about how nice these people can be which in turn makes the people reading the article believe that they are bad people when in reality a very small amount of these communities are actually like that
It is sad to see that these people are still being mistreated and it doesn t stop at the black and Muslim communities people also treat other communities poorly such as the LGBT Asian and female communities and many many more People need to be more open minded when around people who are a part of different communities maybe to spend time with these people if possible and get to know them Maybe they ll finally realise that just because someone isn t part of your community it doesn t mean they want to hurt you or that they re bad people In certain communities which have been treated poorly compared to others have had people in them to defend their community Some people such as Malala Yousafzai who fought and is still fighting till this day for girls education all around the world and who also got shot in the face close to the eye for it but she miraculously survived it Nelson Mandela who after he was made the president of South Africa he worked to bring people of different races together And finally Martin Luther King Jr who fought for civil rights specifically leading the Montgomery bus boycott
